Thomas started his 20+ year career as an online/finishing editor and artist at R/GA in 1993. He was a pioneering user of one of the first Flame systems in New York. He joined freelance collective Engine Company Number Nine in the mid 90’s to work as a compositor for top post and design houses on projects for Coca Cola, AT&T, the NBA, L’Oréal and other leading brands.
In 2001 he headed to L.A. and Panopoly Pictures, where he worked on design-driven, award-winning commercials for Universal, Amblin Entertainment and ABC; then to Fox Studios and more award-winning work for NASCAR, Bowl Championship Series, NFL and Fight Science; and Ring Of Fire where he was a lead artist on the Clio- and Cannes Lion award-winning “Factory” spot for Starburst.
In 2009 Thomas co-founded design and VFX boutique Burn, Crash, Repeat, with studios in NY and L.A. where he worked until joining Method in 2014. Here he has contributed his considerable skills to campaigns for Verizon Wireless, Volkswagen, Taco Bell, Guitar Hero Live, Infiniti, Best Buy and more.
