Visual Effects Supervisor, Commercials

An Emmy-nominated, AACT-winning artist, James is a stellar team-builder who approaches every project from an inventive point of view. With Method since 2010, he has worked on high profile commercial, television and feature productions including “Gods of Egypt” and “The Wolverine,” and a collection of critically acclaimed art house movies. He also spearheaded VFX for Target’s massive U.S. holiday campaigns in 2015, 2016, and 2017.


Initially trained in the camera department, James developed a strong eye for composition and began his VFX career as a Flame artist in the early 90s. He was a VFX Supervisor on the 2003 animated film “The Animatrix,” while working at Square USA in Hawaii.


In 2004, Rogers co-founded Postmodern Sydney, where he worked on features and commercials. The studio was acquired by Deluxe in 2010 and Rogers remained a guiding force until relocating to Method LA to help lead its commercials department. Feature Film Credits
