A Wrinkle in Time

Studio: Walt Disney Pictures

Director: Ava Duvernay

A new take on the Madeleine L'Engel novel, this sci-fi fantasy adventure is rich with imaginative imagery, and Method brought its artistry to three distinct environments: Meg's Los Angeles backyard, the wing-tipped mountain landscape and a stark corridor. The work was created using a combination of full CG and matte painting techniques, with multiple iterations delivered as the looks evolved. Method, which led the project, also created concepts and hundreds of shot variations, then blended the digital work and principal photography.
