Netflix's Emmy-nominated series The Umbrella Academy reunites a group of estranged siblings with extraordinary powers to uncover shocking family secrets and a looming threat to humanity. Method artists lead by VFX supervisor Sean Schur, had the privilege to work on the climactic final episode The White Violin in season 1. Our biggest accomplishment on the project was creating a fully CG shot of the moon, which then explodes hurling an extinction size meteor to the Earth. Once the meteor hits the Earth, it creates a wall of fire and flames that expands across the entire United States, inundating Chicago, and engulfing Cha-Cha (Mary J Blige) as she tries to call for help.
