This tongue in cheek ad featuring the ever charismatic Simon Cowell promotes Verizon’s link with the popular TV show ‘XFactor’ and stars a host of showy VFX by Method Studios’ New York team.

Basic effects work included the screen comps onto the tablets and the process of composting the plate of Simon shot green screen onto the stage. In order to increase the showy nature of the spot, the fireworks and confetti were all enhanced digitally. One of the biggest challenges however was the removal of smoke from the stage scene so that Simon was more visible. It’s all about stage presence after all!
