This action packed prequel to the existing X-Men films is set in 1962 when Professor Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr, who later becomes Magneto, first get together.
Method Studios London produced 23 visual effects shots around Havok’s training scene and the Hellfire Club sequence with Sean Danischevsky acting as VFX Supervisor.
Method’s Stephane Ceretti worked for the overall X-Men team as Production VFX Supervisor and wrangled all of the VFX sequences from multiple vendors. “It was great to be working with such a legend as John Dykstra, Effects Designer on Spiderman, Hancock and Star Wars to name a few,” says Ceretti. “He’s extremely focused and professional, yet retains a great sense of fun in the midst of all the madness.”
