END OF INNOCENCE
2008-01-25
Collaborating with Director Phillip Van, Method completed 3D animation and effects work on “As She Stares Longingly At What She Has Lost,” a compelling and ultimately heart-wrenching short film depicting the loss of childhood innocence. Set to a melancholy tune with haunting resonance, the film is part of the ‘Exquisite Corpse’ project launched by Little Minx and partnered with RSA Films. Seb Caudron, who was the Creative Director and the lead Flame Artist, worked closely with Van to define the look and feel of the piece focusing on the coloring, the waterman, the apocalyptic scene, and the overall mood of the different environments. Paying close attention to detail, Lead CG Artist, Andy Boyd, led a talented team responsible for the entire forest, the waffle cloud, the waterman, and the vines.
The project is, at present, comprised of five short films by Van and directors *Chris Nelson*, *Malik Hassan Sayeed*, *Josh Miller*, and *Laurent Briet* and through the progression of films, each director responds to the last line of text of the previous director’s script and gives their concept of what it means to be a minx.
